Employer Description We support community regeneration projects that bring people together to promote prosperity and wellbeing through achieving new skills and qualifications, finding work and setting up business opportunities. Duties/ Responsibilities - To assist in providing an effective IT Support Service to all employees at Two Rivers Housing, which supports the day-to-day operations of the organisation - Assist the IT Administration staff in the delivery and maintenance of an effective IT Service, which will support the day-to-day operations of the business, with particular emphasis on IT Service Desk and first line Desktop IT support - Provide effective technical support, when appropriate, to employees and managers on use of end-user hardware and software, with particular emphasis on PC / Laptop / Tablet / Smartphone use and with Microsoft Windows, Apple iOS, Android, Microsoft Office and Internet - Demonstrate on-the-job learning through technical hands-on training and work tasks - Help to achieve Team Service Measures (SMs) for the IT Service Desk as defined by organisational requirements - Develop an appreciation for data quality, cyber security, administrative consistency and following process - Develop good IT technical knowledge and troubleshooting techniques - Develop good personal communications skills with other technical and non-technical staff - To work within agreed objectives and time scales to meet agreed performance criteria - Comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements - Responsible for ensuring the correct quality of work and taking appropriate action where necessary - Monitoring and recording of standards and progress Qualities / essential requirements: - Good problem solving and decision making abilities - Good numeracy and communication skills - Developing IT knowledge and skills - Ability to learn from instruction and self-driven - Ability to use a PC / Tablet / Smartphone - Ability to use Internet for research - Willingness to help others - Ability to time-manage, set priorities and work to deadlines - Ability to work under pressure - Ability to build effective relationships with a range of employees - Knowledge of data protection practices - Knowledge of cyber security practices - Experience in a Housing Associations or similar office environment Desired Qualifications 3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above Other information Working week - Monday - Friday, 37 Hours per week Benefits - Eligible to join pension - Health cash back scheme including staff discount scheme - 24 days holiday in addition to bank holidays Important Information "QA's apprenticeship programmes may be funded in part by the European Union through the European Social Fund, which supports the development of employment opportunities and a skilled workforce."
