We have a superb opportunity for an Audit Senior (Not for Profit) with a leading UK accountancy and auditing firm offering based in London. Our client works with Not for Profit entities in the UK and overseas and act for a wide range of clients including schools, charities, donor agencies and membership organisations. You will be responsible for planning, on-site running and completion of a portfolio of assignments and provide on the job training to more junior members of the team. Responsibilities for the role of Audit Senior (Not for Profit) Prior to the assignment: - Attend pre-assignment discussions with the audit team - Assist the audit team with the completion of the planning section - Understand the objectives of each assignment including the budget requirements During the assignment, the senior will be expected to: - Be responsible for allocating work to junior members of the audit team - Provide on the job training to junior members of the firm, review their work and provide feedback - Ensure that the work undertaken on site is in accordance with the approved plan and budget - Advise the manager of any developments that may lead to a change in strategy - Suggest logical solutions to problems - Detailed assignment memorandum incorporating an appropriate analytical review - Respond to all client queries and concerns in an efficient and professional manner, often dealing directly with senior management - Provide sound advice to clients and demonstrate knowledge of business issues - Provide a detailed analysis of time charged on every assignment to facilitate billing and future planning Experience required for the role of Audit Senior (Not for Profit) - Accountancy training - audit based - ACCA or ACA, or equivalent, qualified - Proven skills in external commercial auditing with preference in a Consultancy background - Proven skills in audit planning, fieldwork and file completion - Proven skills in supervising and managing staff - Experience of auditing charities clients however may consider a keen interest in the charity sector - Ability to encourage team spirit and improve the performance of junior staff by providing clear instructions, supporting and involving team members, monitoring individual performance and providing constructive feedback Salary: Competitive and benefits include: 25 working days holiday, Contributory pension scheme, PHI, Private medical cover, Life assurance 4x annual salary, Interest free season ticket loan available after 3 months Location: London For more information regarding the role of Audit Senior (Not for Profit) please contact us Stellar Select is acting as an employment agency and is a corporate member of the REC Due to a high volume of applications, we will only contact you if your application has been successful.
