Reporting to the Financial Accounts Manager, you will be a confident finalist or fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent accountant with a strong financial accounting and controls background. Your experience will be from both practice and industry environments. You are seeking an opportunity to flex your leadership and management skills, as you will be coaching staff and may be asked to deputise for the Financial Accounting Manager in their absence. You will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge of Finance across different business areas.
What We Give:
As a competent accountant you will be responsible for ensuring accurate records are kept of the company's transactions and assets and liabilities and be able to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounts in accordance with company policy, US GAAP and FRS101. Your remit will include working closely with our auditors both external and internal. With comprehensive experience in accounting for pensions and leases you will be the technical expert within the team.
You will have an excellent understanding of effective financial control and be instrumental in both maintaining and enhancing the framework of internal control over all the company's operations and ensuring the company is in compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley regulations.
Your experience will extend to preparing budgets and forecasts for the Balance Sheet and you will need to work with the Planning Team to ensure consistency with the related Profit and Loss Accounts.
You will be required to participate in the implementation of and changes to core accounting systems and other systems with financial implications in accordance with company policy, US GAAP and FRS101.

What We Ask:
You will need to be a finalist or fully qualified ACA/ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent accountant with a mixture of both practice and industry environments and have an excellent awareness of the inter relation with the Profit and Loss Account.
With a strong financial accounting and controls background and excellent technical knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements you will be able to take the lead on resolving technical issues and supporting others particularly in complex areas such as leasing and pensions.
Your communication, verbal and written will be excellent as will your command of English. You will need to be team player, able to contribute to discussion and solutions as well as having the skills to lead and motivate others when required.
