A major N.H.S client of ours is currently looking for a reporting Services Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of statutory returns, internal reporting of routine reports, and ad-hoc information to support the Foundation Trust and partner organisations. Develop the use of business intelligence / reporting tools such as Business Objects and QlikView. Develop the reporting of data form the new Cerner Millennium EPR. Responsible for the day to day management of staff of the Reporting Team. To take overall responsibility for the operation of routine and ad-hoc reporting and the development of these systems (meaning people - process - technology) for production, approval, and release in line with changing information requirements and in cooperation stakeholders, internal and external, and the Information Technology (IT) service. To liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather new information requirements, design and develop of new reports using a number of tools. The information extracted and analysed by post-holder and team members will be both administrative and clinical. The Reporting Team will provide data and reports, in a variety of formats, i.e., dashboards, and information to the Business Intelligence Team to enable the production of intelligence. 3. JOB DIMENSIONS The Reporting Team is composed of reporting and data retrieval Close working relationships with the Business Intelligence Team, Information Technology service, and other parts of the organisation, including other corporate functions is required as well as close working relationship with the operational teams as well as with clinicians. 4. PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY * Identification of corporate management information requirements for the organisation as a whole. * Ensure that national and local changes in NHS Data Standards are fully implemented within the department and where these impact on external departments the requirements and implications are appropriately communicated and understood. * Lead on new information requests, on behalf of the Reporting Team and sometimes in cooperation with the Business Intelligence Team and the IT service, to gain agreement on report content, development process and delivery timescales. * Lead the approach to reporting * Disseminate reports and information to the internal community or externally, including for local initiatives and other partnership working. * Lead the investigation, support, correct and prevent issues relating to existing reporting systems and processes, identifying issue and implementing resolution in a timely manner. * Communicate proposed changes to reporting processes and their potential impacts on Foundation-Trust wide processes and procedures * Ensure the incorporation of new report outputs into the workload of the Reporting Team, adjusting plans, operational procedures and delivery priorities as appropriate. - Masters' Degree in an analytical subject or demonstrable equivalent experience - Evidence of continuous professional and personal development - including technical qualifications or demonstrable equivalent experience - Project Management certification skills - Ability to extract complex information from tools and presentation to end-users, preferably within a NHS environment - Ability to present data and information using a variety of tools - Advanced ability to translate business / functional requirements into information solutions - Ability to use own initiative, manage own workload and priorities in a busy and changing environment - Skilled at using Business Objects for report automation and dissemination - Ability coaching individuals and leading a team engendering enthusiasm and commitment Reed Specialist Recruitment is an Employment Agency and an Employment Business for permanent and temporary recruitment.
