An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SITS Developer to work within the SITS Development team as part of the delivery of Strategic ICT projects at Falmouth University. The SITS Development team are responsible for all new developments within the SITS:Vision student records system that is extensively used at Falmouth University. You will be actively involved in the initial scoping of new projects, working with stakeholders to develop the initial specifications and seeing projects through the development cycle all the way to project delivery. This will involve working with key members of the institution as well as external suppliers to research possible solutions and existing markets. As a part of the delivery of the project you will be involved in the configuration/build stage, depending on the project, working with colleagues across both Falmouth and FX Plus IT Services to ensure the solution is fit for purpose, as well as leading on system testing and taking responsibility for unit testing and guiding end users in user acceptance testing. As a part of this there will also be the expectation to deliver user training and creation of supporting user documentation. What do I need to be a successful SITS Developer? Experience of working as a SITS Developer for another HE, specialising in e:Vision developments. Knowledge of SITS client configuration and development. Experience of using CSS3 and HTML5 to deliver web functionality. Knowledge of project management methodologies. Experience of system testing, user training and creation of user support documentation.
