With 25 years of experience in supporting businesses through a wide range of IT services they have an experienced and passionate team of IT professionals and business support staff in place offering businesses ongoing support or help with larger bespoke projects Responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer Apprentice: With constant support and guidance from the company your duties will include but not be limited to: - To provide first and second line support to all clients by phone, email & remote. - Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 8.1 & 10, Server 2000-2012 R2), Exchange (2010 and above and Online) and Office 2010 - 2016 (Outlook) - Supporting and maintaining live server and network infrastructures to ensure continuous uptime and optimal performance and security - To actively seek to improve I.T. systems and processes where possible - Knowledge of Active Directory and basic networking - Installing authorised software - Desktop & network hardware installation, configuration and maintenance - Create and maintain documentation Requirements of the Technical Support Engineer Apprentice: - Generalised I.T. experience / knowledge preferred - Minimum 5+ GCSE qualifications or equivalent - Able to work confidently and efficiently as part of a team and individually - Wi-Fi, basic network principles and troubleshooting, basic IP knowledge, PPTP, VPN, IPsec VPN client - Professional verbal and written communication skills with a can do attitude. - Passion for learning - Desire to succeed and progress - Punctual - Proactive Benefit: - Long term career with progression opportunity for the correct candidate.
