We have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join a leading organisation in their joint venture based in Stoke-on-Trent. The client is a well-established leader in Energy and Utilities having joined forces with 2 of the leading figures in the industry. They specialise in account management and efficiency advice for business customers across the UK. The role offers the chance for the right individual on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to support with payroll administration, creating structure and improvements in payroll processes. Responsibilities - Responsible for ensuring full and accurate payroll data collation - Manages all payroll related queries via the third party outsourced providers - Creates and agrees a suitable workflow chart for payroll processes - Identifies weaknesses in the audit process and implements improvements - To establish and maintain an improved and clear payroll data gathering process Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour - Previous working in a payroll related role supervising a team - Experience of managing pay related processes - Knowledge of all year-end related activities including tax year and submissions - Superior attention to detail - Excellent payroll knowledge - Ability to build rapport quickly with managers, HR and Finance teams - Able to liaise effectively with Finance colleagues - Able to work in a demanding, fast paced and evolving environment Benefits of the role - Great opportunities to expand and continue a career in workforce planning - Opportunity to work in a vibrant, city centre environment with great people - Monday to Friday hours with No weekends! - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays - Car parking space in a city centre location - Pension scheme - Childcare vouchers Please note successful candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
