The perfect candidate for this Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with other science support staff as a big emphasis within this school is on team work and collaboration amongst staff to ensure the best outcomes for all learners. You will support both the class teacher and students within the classroom. You will also hold small intervention sessions to help boost the progress of learners within science who find physics difficult and need high-quality advice and guidance from a physics graduate. Further, you will support the highest achievers who require additional support to reach their high potential. Once you gain the confidence to fulfil this duty to a high standard you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for larger intervention groups in order to build your knowledge and experience of what life as a physics teacher would entail. You will have access to opportunities which expose you to planning, differentiation and learning behaviour management strategies and techniques.
