The Purchase Ledger Clerk is responsible for the credit control of the purchase ledger. Other key responsibilities include preparing forecasts, processing expense payments and checking purchase invoices.

Description

  • Prepare detailed forecasts on a daily basis
  • Post expenses
  • Process supplier and expense payments
  • Work together with accounts team to check purchase invoices
  • Liaise with suppliers over queried invoices and payments
  • Process direct debits
  • Process any adhoc bank payments
  • Assist Management Accountant and other members of the Finance team with general day to day tasks
  • Reconciliations
  • Coding and processing

Profile

* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
* Ability to multi-task in a very busy environment and to cope well under pressure
* Ability to work to monthly deadlines
* Good level of IT literacy, including Excel, MS Office and Sage
* Ability to use own initiative
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

* AAT qualified or equivalent or studying towards ACCA is desirable

Job Offer

£9.50-10.50/hr

Temporary with possibility of permanent role
