Glendale, the green services division of Alston Investments ltd, has revenues of £47 million. Glendale is a leading green space management specialist operating throughout the UK. The company has an unparalleled portfolio of services for the management of the green environment, including grounds maintenance, arboriculture and landscaping.

Glendale currently operates 62 contracts across the UK, and employs approximately 1,500 staff. The Glendale brand is a strong one and the majority of the company's revenues are generated from the grounds management and arboriculture activities that operate term contracts with public sector and commercial clients.

Your day to day role will involve the following:

• Assistant with marketing
• Assisting with business development
• Administrative duties such as updating the news on the company website and distributing tender opportunities.

The candidate will report to the marketing manager, and will work closely with both the marketing and business development teams at Glendale's head office. ,

The candidate will be supported in their journey to become a marketing and business development professional, in particular through all stages of the Level 2 in Business Administration Qualification. As the apprentice gains experience there will be scope to take on broader duties such as copywriting, social media management. market research, and becoming the first point of contact for all departmental enquiries.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and efficiently in a confident manner, have a professional and honest attitude, determination and the ability to work within tight deadlines, and be an adaptable team player. They must also be a logical thinker with good writing skills.e

Training to be Provided :
• Level 2 in Business Administration
• Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT (if applicable)

Other Information :
The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
