Based in Colchester Working within an experienced team assessing automotive warranty claims which are bought into review; assisting the Retail network in the correct submission process for a premium brand manufacturer. Main purpose of the role - The Warranty Claims Assessor is responsible for the assessment of warranty repair claims submitted by the Retailer network and carrying out the supporting administration. - All claims should be assessed and approved in accordance with manufacturers Policies and Procedures and provide information and recommendations at all times. Claims should be authorised, amended or rejected accordingly. - The Warranty Claims Assessor will provide remote support for the Retail network on correct claim submission and warranty policy guidance Candidate Responsibilities - Working in a team of up to nine assessors in an open plan office - Record data as required into a bespoke computer application (training provided) - Assess warranty claims on OEM systems and liaise with and where required the Retailers via telephone and e-mail - Analyse data received from Retailers and ensure that all data is aligned with all the correct processes, technical bulletins and campaigns - Proactively find all relevant data and identify clearly the reasons for accepting, amending or rejecting claims - Administer the necessary documentation to support the warranty claims - Accept and attempt to resolve enquiries from Customer Retailers (and Customer personnel) via a Communications / Systems entry methodology - Participate in training / product information exchange with appropriate data sources for up to 4 weeks per year including overnight stays as required - Complete all work to a minimum quality requirement assessed by MSXI and customer management - Accept other assignments (responsibility for items of equipment, literature, Customer data systems, analysis, investigation, ISO9001 etc.) as determined by the Group Leader / Project Management / Account Manager - Write and circulate data to other Helpdesk Engineers/ Warranty Assessors / Project Management / Customer / Customer Retailer staff when necessary - Liaise with Retailer personnel at all levels - Liaise with Group Leader(s) / Project Management / Account Manager on Case Histories, trends and analysis - Liaise with Customer Engineers / Staff on all issues associated directly with Prior Approval Helpdesk/Field Warranty Assessors obtaining clarification from the Group Leader / Project Management / Account Manager if required - Liaise with all relevant parties and highlight to management areas for concern, opportunities to develop the processes and further reduce excess warranty costs - Complete and provide information for Company documentation as necessary (Travel Expense Reports, Corrective Action Requests, and Timesheets etc.) - Cover other colleagues workloads over periods of vacation and sickness Candidate Specification - The ideal candidate will have either Retailer, Dealer Franchise or OEM warranty background, with demonstrable automotive warranty and technical experience.
