The role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a business systems analyst/developer to join our ICT team. The ICT team work in partnership with Stratford on Avon District Council and to help achieve our digital aspirations we are looking for a business systems analyst/development officer to compliment the existing skills within the team. You will be part of a team working to support and develop corporate business applications in terms of requirements, integration, programming, testing and implementation to meet deadlines, targets and corporate aims. You will have experience in providing technical and user documentation, and assisting with the construction of development plans with internal customers. You will also have experience of supporting SQL and/or Oracle databases. The role will require working with service areas and/or external suppliers or partners to analyse business requirements and develop interfaces where required. You will be working on a variety of projects across the Council requiring development skills including HTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript along with ColdFusion or PHP knowledge within a SQL Server environment. Experience in .Net would be advantageous. The individual The ideal candidate will have Local Government knowledge and an understanding of the wide range of services offered by the Council. You will have flare and proven track record of development and implementation and be a true team player. You will possess a passion for continuous improvement and development and be responsible for the management and development of the corporate intranet, internet and extranet sites. Willing to work part of a team to deliver the Councils Digital Customer Strategy and provide regular recommendations for improvement and development to achieve successful digital channel shift outcomes.
