This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning start-up based in Cambridge (UK). Their flagship product, Keylines, is an innovative, data visualization toolkit, which lets organizations explore networks in their data. They are a growing and ambitious organisation with a best in class product. They work with hundreds of customers worldwide, including the US Army, Visa, Cisco, Symantec and Microsoft. They have been scaling up their development teams, so now require an additional test engineer to collaborate in maintaining the high standard of quality in their product offerings. About you You'll be driven by a desire for product excellence. As a skilled communicator, you'll be capable of understanding and defining requirements. Sharing your insights and findings to the team in a way that drives constant improvement, without assigning blame. You'll ideally have experience in testing web applications and or SDKs and preferably some skills in test automation with a scripting language. What you'll be doing You'll work with everyone in their agile development team to improve quality and build excellence into the product as early as possible. Your analytical skills will be applied to features under test, from early design stage through to delivery. In addition to defining tests and test coverage, you'll raise any defects / issues with features and products with detailed reproducible steps. Daily work will typically include refining requirements, raising and reviewing issues, re-testing of bug fixes, signing off features and release testing. Role requirements: - Analytical skills, with attention to detail - Great communication skills, written and spoken - Creative thinking - Strong sense of initiative - Interest in automated testing and frameworks - Knowledge of Test frameworks Fast pass to the front of the queue: - Test automation / DevOps knowledge/experience - Knowledge of a programming language (especially JavaScript) - Complex UI testing - Passion for new technologies - Exploratory testing - Performance testing
