SEN Teaching Assistant - Perfect for a Psychology graduate - September Start- Full Academic Year - Paid £300 per week - Work Closely with SENCOs - Perfect experience prior to further study Person Specification - SEN Teaching Assistant To be considered for this rewarding role, you must be a graduate with a 2:1 or above degree and a passion for Special Needs. You will be patient, supportive and caring with a "firm but fair" approach. We want to see graduates with the ambition to become Educational Psychologists or Child Psychologists, keen to build relevant experience in a paid role providing support on a 1:1 basis with a child who has Special Educational Needs. About the Role - SEN Teaching Assistant As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the development and implementation of education/behaviour care plans working closely under the guidance of the school SENCo. The schools have excellent resources including sensory rooms and you will develop your skills in PECS and Makaton. You will be a resilient person who is looking for a challenge in providing great support in this 1:1 role. Some training will be provided in advance so that you can be effective from day one.
