Laravel Backend Web Developer Location: Chelmsford Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum An opportunity has arisen for a back end Laravel web developer for our client, an international vehicle performance and fuel economy tuning specialist. Due to an increased demand both domestically and internationally for our client's products and services they are now looking to recruit a Laravel / PHP web developer to work alongside there Senior web developer on our ecommerce site which has been built from the ground up. You will be a talented PHP web developer with at least 3 years' experience and have an experience of the Laravel 5.x or Symfony frameworks. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client's friendly and passionate team in Chelmsford, Essex in a dynamic growing online business which has a worldwide presence. You will need solid experience in the following areas: - Laravel / Symphony (We use Laravel 5.3, in process of upgrading to 5.4) Laravel training will be provided to the right candidate if required - Version control (GIT) - Solid experience in PHP 7 although PHP 5.6 still exists on legacy code base - Adhere to OOP principles - Solid with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, etc) - Solid with Composer - Experience of portable development environments (Vagrant, Homestead) - Experience of software development process (TDD / BDD) - Understanding of a range of design patterns - Solid programming principles - Solid Knowledge of Linux. - Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills. - Strong team player. - Proven User Interface Development. - Experience within eCommerce IT organisations is essential - Ability to document solutions, site architectures, interaction notes, logical data models and development documentation. - Able to interact confidently and well with a wide range of people at all levels, internally and externally. - Adherence to web standards, best practices, latest trends and software development methodologies - Ability to work under pressure, unsupervised and using own initiative - Additional JavaScript (namely Jquery), XML, CSS and HTML skills welcomed.
