IT Technician - Worthing We are currently recruiting for a software 1st Line Helpdesk Technician for a growing client based in Worthing, West Sussex. It is essential that you have a good knowledge of IT, as the role will require you to take helpdesk calls from clients, log calls, find solutions and escalating on to 2nd line support when necessary. Role responsibilities include: Logging new issues from clients either over the phone or from emails, including the capture of steps to reproduce the error Logging calls on to internal database togenerate a unique reference number Fault diagnosis including reproducing errors, troubleshooting issues, testing potential fixes or applying a new software licence Connecting to client environment to replicate issue Updating clients on the progress of their open support call and offering workarounds if possible This role requires all or many of the following attributes: Good knowledge of IT Helpdesk Excellent Phone Manner Good atproblem solving Ability to remain calm under pressure Hours of work: No weekends Rotating shift system between the hours of 7am and 6pm (7.5 hour shift between these hours) Salary and Benefits: Full training and mentoring on the software systems and solutions you will be supporting The basic salary for this full time role is £19,000 and will increase to £22,000 after twelve months 28 days holiday including bank holidays
