We are looking to recruit a competent and experienced Credit Analyst to join the bank on a years contract, you need to have a proven track record in Credit Analysis and decision making. Demonstrable first-hand experience in supervisory role within credit function Extensive experience in production/approval of facility/collateral documentation, some first-hand experience with legal recovery processes Previous exposure to bank counterparty analysis and treasury documentation Working knowledge of typical UK commercial residential property lending, banking, credit and operational systems The Credit department has the responsibility for the approval, control and administration of all client and bank counterparty credit risk. To perform the following functions, either with primary responsibility or as designated functional cover You will be the deputy to Head of Credit, voting member of Credit Committee policy, procedures and special projects. Analysis of complex credit proposals, documentation & drawdown approval, Internal MI and regulatory reporting Credit Analysis to include assistance in deal structuring, analysis Credit Committee applications, Fund/portfolio analysis and LTV proposals Annual strategy reviews, voting member of Credit Committee and credit meetings. Dealing with Credit approvals, approval delegated authority applications, approving excess requests Authorising loans, reviewing valuations £10m, approving use of non-panel solicitors Documentation checking prior to issue, drawdown authorisation, review and approve further drawdowns, collateral final sign-off, guarantee wording approval Arrears & Recoveries, analysis of watchlist applications, production of quarterly watchlist cases Liaison with the group legal team. Counterparty/Country - New/amend counterparty limit applications, annual counterparty limit reviews, new and amend country limit applications Annual country limit reviews, group liaison & MI, Bank counterparty excess list Bank overrides in Globus queue, nostro position monitoring, over £15m Globus authorisation Policy & Procedures, review/maintenance of credit procedures, annual review of credit policies Ongoing maintenance of policy manual, Implementation of regulatory change e.g. MMR/MCD Implementation of Group led policies e.g. ETP/Credit Grading, maintenance of Regulated Mortgage policy Monitoring changes in regulatory environment, property revaluation diary (Basel 11) MI & Reporting, monthly ManCo report, submission of quarterly MLAR return via Gabriel Quarterly RiskCo report, large exposures report, quarterly papers for Board, chestnut Investor report Quarterly Chestnut Rating Agencies loan book data, six-monthly PRA loan book return Annual property sensitivity report, off patch property review Administrative, disaster recovery, team mentoring, credit induction training Staff appraisals, overview the banks credit process
