Paraplanner
Location: Bristol
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum

Ambridge Harris are currently supporting a prestigious Wealth Management firm in recruiting for a level 4 qualified Paraplanner to work from their Bristol office. The Paraplanner will work both independently and as a part of a team in order to drive forward solutions for their clients. The individual will have an analytical mind with the ability to apply this to real-life client situations. The majority of the role will be non-client facing and centred on accurate analysis for and reporting of, a full financial plan for the end client. The details of the role are as follows:

Job Description (Responsibilities)
* Establish and build strong relationships with clients and maintain a strong customer focus throughout
* Ensure effective communication with the Financial Planner to understand the client's needs
* Ensure the Know Your Client (KYC) information is recorded appropriately to meet compliance requirements
* Assist with obtaining the required KYC where required
* Effectively assess a client's risk profile and risk requirement / capacity
* Prepare information / comparisons for analysis by Financial Planner
* Liaise with clients legal and tax advisers where required
* Liaise with the compliance department for authorisation / guidance where required
* Pro-actively research solutions for each client scenario, effectively balancing the features, benefits and the risks attached; both independently and with the Financial Planner
* Identify additional areas for planning
* Ensure all research is documented and recorded in accordance with company processes and guidelines
* Prepare recommendation report to be discussed / signed off by Financial Planner / compliance department.
* Effectively manage client expectations throughout the sales process
* Ensure the internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is updated in real-time with all client communication / interaction
* Take pride in ensuring all agreed deadlines are met in full
* Attend client meetings where required
* Liaise with 3rd party professionals; both verbally and in writing
* Initiate and organise future planning meetings with clients
* Complete full analysis pre-review meeting with the client

Desired Skills and Expertise (Requirements)
* Level 4 qualification as a minimum - preferably working towards further industry exams
* High level of applied technical knowledge across onshore and offshore products, including taxation
* Experience in dealing with esoteric investments; for example, EIS / VCT
* Experience of dealing with Equity Release
* Experience in dealing with Defined Benefit schemes, from initial research to full transfer analysis
* Experience in dealing with cash-flow forecasting and analysis
* Full understanding of the compliance requirements applicable to the sales process
* Ability to work within defined business processes
* Ability to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision
* Excellent inter-personal skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to prioritise and plan own workload
* Be detailed and accurate first time every time
* Articulate
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
* Excellent standard of report writing skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
