Miller's Vanguard are a long established company providing industry leading maintenance service to the UK's major supermarket chains. We provide rapid reactive engineering support, planned preventative maintenance and other ancillary services for all food production equipment in store. A role has arisen within our I.T. Department for an Applications Manager. Reporting directly to the Information Systems Manager, the Applications Manager will be responsible for ensuring availability of the core applications to the business. Responsibilities include: - Identifying appropriate applications for staff - Reviewing and implementing application upgrades - Ensuring the best use of available technology and software. - Project manage (under guidance from the Information Systems Manager) product upgrades, updates and additions to Siclops. - Support the Information Systems Manager in the creation and development of the overall IS strategic plan. - Provide second line support for all aspects of business relating to the IT Department. - Responsibility for maintaining the IT asset register, including communications equipment. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: - Siclops - Microsoft Office365 - Sage - Reports SPECIAL FEATURES / ATTRIBUTES - Contribution to development and delivery of strategic planning for the business IT - Keep up to date with current and future developments of business applications - Liaise with providers to ensure maximum value gained from software investments Weekly hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm and a full company uniform will be provided.
