Job Description The successful apprentice will provide 1st line support to local operations staff and clients. They will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of IT systems availability and functionality. As part of a wider IT team, they will report to the IT Helpdesk manager and liaise regularly with senior technicians, as well as the clients IT department. Duties/ Responsibilities - Log support requests that come in by email, telephone and web chat, so you will need good communication skill and a methodical, accurate attitude to work - Keep clients informed of ETA of their orders and resolution times to incidents - Support end users to resolve computer issues that they may have - This includes hardware, software and network issues - Liaise with Cloud support engineers as required - Monitor system alerts, log and raise incidents where appropriate into our incident management system - Build customer hardware orders to specification Qualities / essential requirements: - Previous IT experience through work or study - Highly organised and able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines - Enthusiastic about working in the IT sector - Good written and verbal communication skills - Great team players - Enthusiasm and interest in technology and customer services - A good communicator - A keenness to learn and adapt to ever changing technologies - Not afraid to ask questions Desired Qualifications Minimum 5 GCSE's at grade C & above or equivalent.
