The OpportunityThis is great opportunity to work in an enterprise IT Department with a busy Service Desk working to deal with major IT operational incidents and line managing a team of 5 Service Desk IT Support staff. The RoleThis hands off IT Operations Manager role requires someone familiar with IT Infrastructure such as Active Directory, Citrix, Windows Servers, Networking WAN/LAN, IP at a good enough level to manage engineers and support analysts.The IT Operations Manager will look after operational IT issues such as scheduled maintenance for Data Centres or hardware for users as well as coordinate the responses to major incidents. The hands off IT Ops Manager will be responsible for a team of 5 IT Support Engineers ensuring their personal development, fortnightly 1-2-1’s, work reviews etc are completed as well as service desk tickets are managed and workload distributed. The client is open to taking a junior manager / supervisor to mentor into a leadership role.
