Our client are a dynamic and growing company with over 25 years' experience in the IT industry. They are based on the outskirts of Chesterfield, and close to Sheffield. They are excited to be advertising a vacancy within their accounts/admin office, offering a real opportunity to the right person to join their team. If you are educated to GCSE level, including English and Maths, have accounts experience and are looking to pursue a career in this area, then read on. Their accounts/admin office is busy and the role very broad and varied. There is a great deal of involvement in assisting in all areas of the company working alongside their existing staff in accounts and admin. The successful candidate will have experience and interests in accountancy, be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft office products and have an interest in office administration. Candidate Requirements: - Presentable, balanced with an enthusiasm for the role - Reliable and able to prioritise work - Excellent organisational skills and confident telephone manner - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work efficiently and on their own initiative or as part of a team with a high level of accuracy whilst working under pressure - Be conscientious, loyal and totally trustworthy - Experience/understanding of basic accounting principles and processes - General office administration experience advantageous - Professional telephone skills - Computer/IT literate, confident in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite - Accuracy and attention to detail essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Standard accounting duties to include Sales and Purchase Ledger processing - Managing staff expense accounts and maintaining inter-departmental budgets - General receptionist duties, answering the telephone and welcoming visitors - Ordering products/equipment and maintaining levels of stock - Database maintenance & updating, customer services - Ad-hoc duties to assist other members of staff in general Hours of work 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
