You will predominantly work with GCSE students, preparing them for their GCSE exams with subject specific intervention sessions. You will also have the opportunity to support A Levels groups. The Head of Science is keen to appoint a reliable and highly-academic graduate science teaching assistant who has excellent scientific subject knowledge. You must have a good understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics with a degree in any of the scientific specialisms. This is due to the high standard of Science knowledge required within the National Curriculum. This teaching assistant role will require you to also support the science teachers with planning and delivering excellent lessons, you will also be gathering resources to use within the lesson. You will support the department to ensure students gain a better understanding of key scientific concepts to enable them to progress their learning.
