Linux System Administrator We are looking to expand our team and bring on a passionate and talented Mid Level or Senior System Administrator. Someone with a passion for tech and who enjoys working with and mentoring intelligent, bright and motivated individuals in a collaborative environment. LexisNexis utilise a variety of technologies across their various products and services, and this position is responsible for configuration, management and automation across our physical and virtual server infrastructure. Currently in use are Ubuntu and Puppet on physical infrastructure, Centos and Ansible on AWS infrastructure. We are also taking steps towards using managed services in AWS where they meet our needs. You will have the opportunity to become expert with some or all of these technologies, as you design, build, automate and support our systems, in collaboration with our Data Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture teams. LexisNexis works in the DevOps model, with multi-skilled teams of people being assembled to collaborate on a project from concept to delivery. Once familiar with systems and processes, you will be working in such teams to deliver new products or service platforms. Key Skills required: - Strong track-record of supporting and deploying projects including some of the following technologies: nginx, php-fpm, memcached, haproxy, MySQL and nagios/icinga - Expert knowledge of Linux including Redhat/Centos experience - Strong knowledge of AWS including autoscaling, AMI deploying, route53 and VPC creation - Excellent automation experience (ansible desirable) - General understanding of code versioning tools - Experienced in Agile methodology, sprints, stand-ups etc - Knowledge of scripting languages including python and bash - Good overall networking skills - Good understanding of the DevOps mantra, including infrastructure as code and version controlled changes - Excellent team worker, able to work collaboratively in a tight knit, innovative and friendly team - At LexisNexis Risk Solutions, we believe in the power of data and advanced analytics for better risk management.
