A leading supplier of bespoke motion control products with nearly 50 years of experience is looking to recruit an Applications/Support Engineer to join their Technical Team. The role will see undertake a variety of tasks around their bespoke motion control product offering. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of motion controllers. Commutable from: Farnborough, Aldershot, Guildford, Farnham Salary: Up to £ 45,000 + Pension + Benefits Suitable for: Applications Engineer, Controls Engineer, Support Engineer The Role Provide Telephone support for customers on Products. Develop and maintain a high level of service to customers. Develop software ranging from small modules to complete machine control. Work onsite with customers to commission motion systems and software. Deliver bespoke and standard training for customers. Assisting Sales Managers with customer quotations. Attend Customer meetings with Sales Managers as and when required. Write Functional Design Specifications with customers. Manage own workload, and contribute to team work. Assist with answering telephones and giving information to callers, taking messages, or transferring calls to appropriate individuals. Assist other Engineers with problem solving. Support production staff with build problems. Support administration staff with BOM and component sourcing. Support test engineer with product testing. Generate production documentation and technical manuals. Assemble hardware components to customer specifications. The Person Good understanding of electronics. Understanding of basic physics (for motion equations, motor powers, inertias etc.). Understanding of programming techniques. Good clear and confident telephone manner. Ability to communicate on a wide range of technical levels.
