Competitive Salary Offered 37.5 hour per week Location: SE1 - London Date Posted: 11th September 2017 The purpose of the role is to promote and support the sale of Telstra's security products and services to existing and new customers. The ideal candidate will be consultative, have a significant knowledge of the security software market, current opportunities and threats faced by the competition, as well as extensive technology experience in selling complex solutions and managed services. They will be skilled at presenting, clearly articulating technical scenarios to different levels of security personnel. Building relationships with customers and working with teams across multiple time-zones to provide a seamless, global customer experience. Telstra's security products specifically include Telstra's Advanced Security Analytics, but will grow to include other products and open source technologies across the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) market place and Managed Security Services. This is a challenging role and successful employees will be passionate, driven, tenacious, methodical and team-oriented pre-sales professionals. Employees should demonstrate business acumen and professionalism required to deal with clients from board level down to security operations level. Primary Responsibilities: - Understand the market drivers in security and leading customer requirements in order to advocate and represent Telstra's security products. - Confidently present Telstra's security products as an industry expert through online presentations, demonstrations, executive briefings, industry events and customer meetings. - Participate in the development, training and support of partners in developing their security businesses using Telstra products. - Support the product marketing function through composition of case studies and other material for central deployment. - Actively support the product development function through input into roadmap providing market insights, competitive intelligence and customer feedback to ensure the constant evolution of the product. - Lead or assist in the development and delivery of sales training to Telstra and partner staff General Responsibilities - Supporting marketing events, lead generation, social media campaigns and tradeshows. - Assist in the development and delivery of customer training where required. - Assist the EMEA team in responding to RFIs, RFPs and ITTs - Experience in a field sales customer-facing marketing, product or sales role within the security market. - In depth knowledge of security technologies and data analytics, in particularly technologies in the User Entity and Behaviour Analytics and SIEM space. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of individuals, both inside and outside the company. - Business and technical writing skills. - Self-motivated individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Education - Educated to degree level. (Where a candidate can show they have extensive experienced working at senior level within a similar environment with a proven track record of success, this may be taken in place of a degree). Knowledge - Computer literate with a good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular - Exemplary strategic market knowledge - Specific industry knowledge relating to a target market or customer base. - Market Expertise & Industry Knowledge - Product Marketing & Marketing Communications - Writing & Presentation Skills - Global and Regional Sensitivity - Knowledge of the following technologies is highly desirable, but not mandatory: - Encryption related technology - Mobile security - Security products and tools required (firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, ATP, application and vulnerability scanning, log management, cloud security) - Authentication systems (IAM, Active Directory, SSO, SAML, federation services, RADIUS, 2-factor) - International regulatory compliance and knowledge of security standards ISO27001, NIST, Sarbanes Oxley, EU Privacy Directive, and other regulations and standards Skills - Must be a self-starter, with the ability to drive creation and delivery of presentation material and supporting documents in order to support the sales process. - Ability to support the strategic product roadmap, to include feedback from market intelligence, customer insight and actual user experience. - Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present at Board level down and to technical and non-technical audiences. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent inter-personal skills, possessing a strong ability to forge good business relationships with customers and internal departments - Solid understanding of major computing frameworks, databases and languages would be an advantage. - Self-motivated with the ability to work with the minimum of supervision. - Very competitive with a strong desire to win. - High energy levels coupled with a real passion to be the best. - Ability to work well with colleagues as part of a team.
