Desktop Engineer (2nd Line)- Leading Accountancy Business- City of London We are one of the largest accounting businesses in the UK, based out of the City of London, employing over 18,000 people globally. We are looking for a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a newly created team in the business. We are looking for an articulate individual to join the support team and support the internal users predominately on a 2nd line basis. This will include the opportunity to work with vendors as well as project work. You'll be the first point of escalation for IT related issues from the 1st line and provide excellent customer service to our internal users. The opportunity will allow you to get hands on with a wide variety of technologies, play an integral role in company-wide projects and support. IT is extremely well regarded here and we look at our IT Department as a key area to give us an edge over our competition Responsibilities - Day to day management of all incidents and service requests passed from the Service Desk to the London onsite support queue, progressing calls to other teams or third parties for further investigation. - Assist with the identification of problem tickets and Service Desk trends. - Ability to work to ITIL based standards and processes, highlighting any gaps and suggesting improvements. - Deliver high quality Audio Visual and Meeting support, ensuring the front-of-house and back-of-house meeting room equipment is maintained to high standards and is available to internal staff and external customers alike. Essential Skills & Experiences - Solid IT Support (2nd line) experience - Excellent knowledge of Windows OS (7,10 and O365) - Understanding of ITIL framework - Trouble shooting AV equipment (meeting rooms etc.) - Good written and oral communication skills - Experience of working / supporting Finance applications is highly desirable.
