Analytics Consultant Location: London HQ based Basic Salary: £80-90k plus bonus Are you looking for a front of house Analytics Consulting role where your advice and insight is imperative for the success of big ticket corporate M&A transactions? Do you want to work directly with Partners and Directors who are involved in project delivery and not just project acquisition? Do you want an Analytics Consulting role where you and the Analytics team play an integral and lead part, and not a 'back office function'? Is your preference to work in London and not out of a suitcase? Would you like remuneration that far exceeds peers in most other Consulting firms? You will be able to demonstrate excellence in the following areas: - 4-7 years of work experience in analytics relevant to the industries our client serves and ideally a first degree in a numerate discipline from a first-class academic institution - Analytics expertise: o Experience of all parts of the analytics project (data collection, cleaning, profiling, modelling, interpretation) o Solid understanding of statistical analyses as well as experience of applying unsupervised and supervised learning approaches to commercial problems, and ability to describe the analytic processes in their area of expertise, including when and why they would favour specific approaches o Programming experience with R - Team leadership: outstanding leadership qualities and proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members - Pragmatic problem solver who can recognise critical commercial issues and dedicate his or her attention accordingly to the most critical tasks - Firm contribution: Plays an enthusiastic role in developing the Firm's earned reputation for high calibre client work and in developing and systematizing approaches and methodologies Our client is a leading global strategy consulting firm. They work for senior executives, providing solutions to some of the most exciting strategic problems in consulting today. They work across all industries, but their London office specialises in Retail, Media, Consumer, B2B and B2C Services, Technology and Private Equity. The primary role of an Analytics Consultant is to support the delivery of strategic advice to senior client management through analytics and data know-how; lead the analytic modules which will involve various data gathering, cleaning and analysis, modelling, interpretation and presentation of the results to the senior client. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ambition and success through career progression to date as well as the highest level of academic achievement at first class academic institutions. You will likely have a first degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative field and are also likely to have a further degree in a similar subject. You will have been successful in leading modules of work in a project and deadline based environment and they will have an inquisitive and analytical mind. You will be able to demonstrate strong teamwork as well as team leadership skills, be able to communicate very effectively in both written and oral settings. Finally, you will through enterprise, academic or other activity have demonstrated a natural entrepreneurial bent, which translates into a pragmatic 'get it done' attitude.
