Head of HR (Head of Delivery) Harwell, Bristol or London £50,000 dependent on skills and experience (plus London weighting for London base) It's a truly exciting time to join us. The People services team is transforming, delivering Jisc's recently launched three-year people plan, investing significantly in IT infrastructure and launching a new HR system. About the role There is a lot of (exciting!) change happening and we're looking for someone to help lead us through this. We want to transform how we work as a team to ensure we are working commercially and efficiently, and fully providing the support Jisc needs to deliver on our key priorities. As Head of HR, you will be instrumental in leading a programme of delivery to implement the people plan and overhaul the way we are working. You'll ensure our work has maximum impact, including developing and embedding systems, templates and processes to enable our people managers to manage their teams effectively. As well as leading the change programme, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the HR team, ensuring operational activities are delivered effectively and efficiently, with a right first time approach.. About you In order to be successful, you will need to have generalist HR experience including reward, gained in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders (including matrix relationships). You will also have extensive experience of operating in a business partner model. You will need demonstrable depth of experience of employee relations and advising and managing complex cases, combined with familiarity of working with employee representative groups and advising managers together with evidence of skills in developing light touch policies that develop and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce. You will be an inspiring role model and people manager with great collaborative and influencing skills who can support the modernisation of the people services function. You will thrive on pace and change, be flexible in your approach and work to agreed timescales. Having previously driven complex change within organisations you will understand the importance of strategic people management. A firm grip on operational delivery whilst delivering against a strategic agenda is essential.
