Are you seeking a Senior IT Support contract? My client is a reputable business within the financial sector and are seeking a Senior IT Support candidate to act as the link between Third Party providers and the in-house IT Support Team on a rolling 3 month contract. Job Description: The post holder will be predominantly responsible for ensuring that users and systems are able to function consistently reducing down-time to a minimum through quick response, process improvements and maintenance. Core duties: - Investigate, document and resolve issues with the business IT systems ensuring that IT systems remain available and efficient utilising Third Party support where required - Maintain awareness of potential system issues through capacity planning & future planning raising awareness of potential future issues - Improve and maintain disaster recovery plans ensuring this is adequately tested to mitigate the risk of a disaster - Provide metrics on the Support Function to management - Keep an up-to-date archive to assist users and Support Staff in their training/knowledge of the business IT Services - Make recommendations on and assist with the delivery of new technologies/systems Core competencies: - Strong all round IT Support knowledge including 2nd and 3rd line issues (essential) - Knowledge of best industry practice (ITIL) (essential) - Background within the financial sector (desirable) This position comes with a competitive day rate, easile accessable and a great, vibrant and diverse company culture.
