Maths Learning Support Assistant - Recent Maths/Economics/Engineering Graduate required - Perfect PGCE experience - Supportive departments - Great teaching experience - Established Secondary school in Bradford - *Earn £300 per week Maths Learning Mentor-Graduate Role The school are looking for a candidate that has recently obtained Maths degree, and is looking for a role to start in September for the next academic year, possibly before beginning teacher training next year. You are required to have some previous experience of working with children or young people, but not necessarily in a school. You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, so you will have a resilient but empathetic personality. This Maths Learning Support Mentor role assigns you to the schools warm and friendly Maths department. You will be working with GCSE students in booster sessions on a small group basis in order to achieve their full potential. You will be receiving dedicated support from your mentor, an 'Outstanding' Maths Teacher who will be there to guide you from day one. At this welcoming and established school in Bradford you will be placed with the Maths Department, supported by the Head of Maths and other teaching staff to give you hands on experience, and build your confidence before committing to a teacher training course. After completing this introductory year, you may even be offered a place on the schools 'Schools Direct' (SCITT) teaching course, which would allow you to stay on throughout your training.
