A really exciting, challenging and interesting job opportunity for an experienced and passionate Full Stack Ruby Developer to join an established international business in its new UK office on a permanent basis. The organisation is setting up its new base here in central Bristol, to launch in the UK market, having already been successful in multiple overseas locations. The position offers excellent scope for being a key part of the company's future expansion and success in their market, as well as taking real ownership of the development of core and new web applications

Your new role
As a Full Stack Ruby Developer you will work in a small, but growing, team of developers, mobile engineers and UX designers working on the core web applications for the business. You'll be involved from design and development through to implementation and delivery, liaising with the Product Managers, and working as part of a wider talented, dedicated digital team across the business. You'll take on responsibility, owning the development to deliver clean, reusable code, and ultimately a product of the highest quality, as user experience is at the heart of the company's focus.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have solid commercial experience as a Developer using Ruby and the Rails framework as well as JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SQL, ideally with knowledge of REST APIs and used to working across the full software development lifecycle. If you have exposure to or knowledge of refactoring and debugging this would be an advantage. You are technically very capable, really passionate and driven about development, always striving to work to your best ability and taking great pride in your work. You must enjoy being very hands on, be naturally curious, thinking about new approaches and comfortable in suggesting ideas and providing solutions. You will be a confident communicator, able to make effective decisions, happy to take on ownership for your work, proactive and capable of working on your own initiative, as well as working collaboratively with the wider team.
