Company Information Curtiss-Wright EST Groupspecializes in the development, manufacture and marketing of highly-engineered products and repair services for shell and tube heat exchangers, condensers, coolers and chillers. Our best known product, the Pop-A-Plug® Tube Plugging System, is the industry's leading technology for plugging leaking and degraded heat exchanger tubes. EST Group also engineers and manufactures test plugs, pressure testing and isolation plugs to greatly simplify and speed-up pressure testing and/or isolation of piping, tubing, valves, pressure vessels and a multitude of special applications. The EST office in Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands is the Europe Regional Office covering EMEA. It is a small office (approx. 10 people) with a friendly, dynamic and flexible working environment. This person will be primarily tasked with handling the quotations which need to be made in close cooperation with the Area Sales Manager. The proposals vary from small day to day sales to large contracts. The objective is to manage a variety of enquiries through the right sales channels. The ability to be able to offer effective engineering product solutions to our customers is key. Job Title Sales & Proposals Engineer Work Location EST - Netherlands Job Description Major Accountabilities/Deliverables - Liaise with the administrative team for standard quotes and list price items. - Technically review inquiries, customer questions in regards to the products we could offer. - Liaise with the EST USA Engineering groups getting specifications, pricing, descriptions and drawings organized for such inquiries. - Prepare such quotes which may range from 2 Pages to hundreds of pages depending on the complexity. - Maintain technical and commercial contact with the client. - When quotes turn to orders liaise with the administrative teams to efficiently enter these orders. Person Specification Qualifications - Qualification to Degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or relevant work experince in a related role Skills - Ability to grow into an external sales role - Technically well versed Mechanical Engineer - Multi-tasker - English speaking with preference for working knowledge of French and German - Self-motivated - Financial knowledge ability to expand - Budgeting and forecasting - Strategy knowledge, able to take a helicopter view Experience - Inside sales but some experience/involvement in external sales - European, Middle-East, Africa industrial sales - Computer literate and competent user of Microsoft Packages (including Excel, Word & PowerPoint) - Experience of working in a commercial business environment (desirable) Role Needs - Full driving licence - Occasional travel (mainly to customer sites) This position may require exposure to information which is subject to export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
