Job description Datafreight are looking to recruit an IT Support Apprentice to join their small team based in Durley, Southampton. the successful candidate will have a strong willingness to learn and have excellent telephone and communication manner. The successful applicant will be providing remote support to over 300 customers. Full training will be given and support provided. A significant part of the role will be to design new documents for customers. The design software uses C# and a basic understanding of coding languages would therefore, it would be beneficial to have some experience. Responsibilities - The successful applicant will be providing remote support to over 300 customers - A significant part of the role will be to design new documents for customers - Offer first-line telephone support which covers over 95% of issues on that initial telephone call and will be trained on how to effectively do so - Provide an integrated suite of applications for the Forwarding, Customs and Warehousing sectors with the support of your line manager Qualities/ essential requirements - The applicant needs to be confident using the phone and demonstrate a willingness to learn - The applicant should have excellent IT skills - The applicant should be able to work as part of a team - The applicant should have good attention to detail skills - Great communication skills is essential to this role - The design software uses C# and a basic understanding of coding languages would therefore, be beneficial - The applicant needs to be confident using the phone and demonstrate a willingness to learn - The applicant should have excellent IT skills - The applicant should be able to work as part of a team - The applicant should have good attention to detail skills Desired Qualification: 3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above Other Important Information Daily working days/ hours - Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm Benefits - Full time role available and option to move onto software roles within the company - Apprentices within the company have successfully completed and moved to £18,000 salaries straight after apprenticeship regardless of age - Full training will be given and support provided - At the end of the apprenticeship, the option to move onto a software engineer role is in your hands
