e.surv's MI team is responsible for taking a business need or an initial concept through every stage from acquiring and loading necessary data, all related aspects of database administration, building and maintaining the reporting layer, and ultimately creating and maintaining the end reports for the business users and clients. Reports may be built to a tight specification or based on a more open-ended brief permitting more freedom in terms of the analysis undertaken and the final presentation.

We have a suite of tools at our disposal but primarily use those listed below. Training can be given but obviously experience in one or more will be advantageous, as will any experience in the data handling and reporting processes detailed above. However, the key thing we are looking for is a passion for taking raw data and solving the problem of turning it into valuable insights, enabling our colleagues to maintain the drive for our business to be the market leader.

Core toolset:

SAP Data Services for ETL jobs, incorporating SQL stored procedures, feeding SQL Server databases

SAP Information Design Tool or Universe Design Tool for new and legacy business layer maintenance respectively

SAP Business Objects 4.1 Web Intelligence for reporting output

Microsoft Excel skills are also always going to be advantageous
