Oracle R12 Business Analyst, Project Accounting, Oracle eBusiness Suite

Our client, a global company is in the midst of a transformation. They are currently looking for an experienced Oracle R12 Business Analyst to join the team in their Oxford offices.

Description for the role of Oracle R12 Business Analyst

  • Responsible for all aspects within the Project Accounting (PA) and Revenue Accounting (Rev Engine) functional areas of the Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12).
  • This includes all aspects of the finance system processes for these areas including all interfaces/integrations into those applications.
  • The role also requires a deep understanding of the Record to Report functional area.
  • Record to Report covers the following processes: Asset Accounting (FA), Project Accounting (PA), Intercompany (AGIS), General Accounting (GL) and Revenue Accounting (Revenue Engine).

  • Oracle Financials Project Accountant
  • SQL
  • Accounting

Desirable Skills

  • Experience developing Finance systems including extending package Finance applications
  • Good SQL knowledge i.e. understanding of the key schemas, ability to write simple queries for investigation, issue resolution
  • Strong Oracle eBusiness Suite functional experience especially across project accounting and the record to report area (Modules: PA, GL, FA, SLA, AGIS)
  • Strong functional knowledge of project accounting and revenue accounting business processes
  • Solid accounting fundamentals
  • A strong sense of methodology, process and metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area
  • At least 3 years’ experience working on projects of substantial scale and/or complexity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience of working within a delivery methodology environment, e.g. Agile, AIM.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to facilitate workshops
  • Strong IT research, software analysis and design skills.
  • Relevant solution functional experience including setup execution and documentation
  • Industry relevant background
  • Proven track record of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories/functional specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven experience of business/solution analysis processes and documentation
This role is commutable from all areas in Oxford, as well as Reading, Slough, High Wycombe, London, Milton Keynes and all other surrounding areas.
