Early Years Scotland has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Early Years Practitioner to join the team in West Lothian working with families and their children aged 0-5 years in our Stay Play and Learn sessions in targeted settings within the local communities of Boghall and Blackburn. The post will:

  • be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating shared play and learning experiences
  • provide baby massage sessions. (Training will be given)
  • foster positive relationships between parents and children
  • support children’s learning and development
You should have a sound knowledge of current and emerging practice within the field of Early Learning and Childcare settings.

Post Details:

·17.5 hours per week

·£19,382 per annum (Point 19 on the scale 19 – 22)

·Fixed Term until 31st March 2018

·20 days Annual Leave in the first year rising to 30 days thereafter

·EYS recognises 12 public holidays per annum

Pay and allowances are all pro-rata to hours worked

Applicants’ qualifications should be consistent with those required to register as a Practitioner with SSSC

(e.g. HNC Early Education & Childcare or SVQ Level 3/4 Children’s Care, Learning and Development)

A full, current driving licence with own transport insured for business use and PVG Scheme membership are required.
