Job description: We are currently looking for a Helpdesk Technician Apprentice for the service desk based out of our Managed Services office in the North West of England. The position offers the successful candidate the chance to develop their IT career in a dynamic fast paced environment and provides access to training on various IT systems including Windows/Linux OS, virtualisation, security and digital signage. The service desk provides services and support to a number of clients and internal departments and takes responsibility for the day to day operations and support across the IT infrastructure. Main Duties The key responsibilities of the job are: - Answering 1st line support calls - Logging customer queries in a CRM system - Ensure that all users are kept informed of the status and progress of their requests - Dealing with basic 1st line issues for clients and internal departments covering a wide range of IT hardware and software - Escalating complex queries to other members of the team - Progression to providing 2nd line support - Remotely accessing client PCs and servers to view and resolve issues Qualities/ requirements - Someone with good IT Skills, a passion for Information Technology and a desire to learn and progress - Someone who can work flexibly and on own initiative - Someone with good verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy - Someone organised with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - A strong team player - Own car desirable but not essential Qualifications/ requirements Minimum 5 GCSE's at grade C & above or equivalent Other Important Information Working hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with a one hour lunch break.
