Baltic Training are excited to be working with Purple to recruit for an IT Support Apprentice to join their existing team based in Hollinwood, Oldham.

Purple are a business that specialise in offering Wi-Fi solutions. They now offer solutions to a range of small and large clients in over 70 countries around the world. Some of these clients include Harrods, KFC, Wagamama, Flybe and Pizza Express. Purple are a business that have been recognised for their success and they have won awards for being the "Rising Star of the North" in both 2014 and 2015.

They are now looking for a career-minded and mature individual to join their hardworking team.

About Apprenticeships

You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:

  • Dealing with clients over the phone.
  • Repairing hardware issues.
  • Basic Networking.
  • Server support.

Training to be provided:

  • Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in ICT
  • Level 3 Advanced Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
  • CompTIA A+
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Cloud Services and Disaster Recovery
  • Coding and Logic
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and ICT)

Skills and qualifications required:

  • An understanding of Wi-Fi.
  • An understanding of Networking.
  • An understanding of Servers.
  • Good IT hardware knowledge.
  • Good telephone manner.

The future is bright
Upon completion of the 12 month programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.

Salary, hours and benefits

  • £150 per week
  • Full time (37.5 Hours per week)

Location and travel
Their office is located in the Hollinwood area of Oldham and there are a number of bus and tram stops nearby.
