The award-winning Newmarket Holidays is one of the UK's largest independently-owned specialist tour operators and looks after the arrangements of tens of thousands of clients each year to a wide range of destinations throughout the UK, across Europe and beyond. We employ over two-hundred people, the majority of whom are based at our Wallington (Surrey) offices. Currently looking for a passionate and energetic individual for a role. The candidate will have at least 5 GCSE's (C and above) including Maths and English and excited to begin an IT career. Responsibilities of the Technology Service Desk Apprentice: - With appropriate training, instruction and guidance, the apprentice will assist in responding to all incoming IT and telephony requests for Newmarket's busy office and field-based team. - In this newly-created role the apprentice will learn from skilled colleagues how to provide excellent first line telephone. - E-mail and face-to-face support to our users. Support encompasses a wide range of mainstream bespoke applications on thin client, desktop PC, Mac, tablet, VoIP telephony and mobile telephony devices. Requirements of the Technology Service Desk Apprentice: Applicants should have a keen interest in working within a Service Desk/IT support function in a technical environment. - Must be passionate about providing excellent customer service - Using good written and verbal communication - Interpersonal and organisation skills. - Applicants should also have sound problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach - Possess the aptitude and desire to learn quickly - Develop technical and professional qualifications within the role via Newmarket's apprenticeship training provider and on-the-job.
