We are looking for a Java professional who can work with a growing team to design and implement scalable and efficient back end architecture in Java using modern best practices. We help global retailers deliver fully-connected multichannel customer journeys, with a focus on the in-store digital experience. From innovative workforce mobile applications to our ground-breaking FocalPoint platform, we design, deliver and support in-store solutions across Touchscreen enterprise, Mobile Chip and PIN, AV & Digital Signage, Workforce Management, Corporate Communication and Self-Service Kiosks. Key Tasks - Develop highly scalable cloud based RESTful services. - Work as part of a skilled team, following AGILE best practices. - Create and build new products utilising REPL Digital's technology stack. - Deliver solutions using the latest technology & design patterns. What we're looking for - Significant commercial Java Development - Exposure to Web Services (REST, SOAP) development. - Commercial experience of using Spring or JEE - Working knowledge of source control tools such as Mercurial/GIT - Full project lifecycle experience from requirements capture to deployment and support of final product Desirable Skills - Experience of Mule 3 ESB development - Experience with Hadoop (Spark, Hive) - Using cloud services - Knowledge of SOA design patterns - Good knowledge of the Software Development Life-cycle - AGILE awareness - Continuous Integration experience
