As Senior System Engineer, will help maximize system uptime, ensure all events are responded to reliably and in a timely fashion, and that operational support processes are correctly followed.

Core Responsibilities:

·Adhere to SLA’s regarding service delivery.

·Provide input to the technical direction of infrastructure activities.

·Active involvement in operations support, process and culture.

·Contribute to support processes and ensure followed.

·Maintain operational procedures and ensure followed.

·Work on assigned items in accordance with set deadlines and priorities.

·Promote infrastructure initiatives internally.

·Ensure system documentation is kept up to date.

·Help identify and automate manual processes while providing a high level support of the infrastructure

Essential Requirements

Extensive experience managing and supporting Linux/Unix environments (Solaris 10, RHEL6/7,AIX)

·Ability to use initiative and think creatively.

·Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks with minimal supervision.

·Excellent time management and organization skills to aid management of competing priorities.

·Strong scripting skills in bash, perl or python.

·Expert in enterprise Strong knowledge about the SSH protocol, PKI, SSL and industry standard IT security principles

·Strong experience using SSH client and SSH server?Strong knowledge about SSH keys and how they are used, algorithms, formats

·Previous experience working with a production, development team, preferably in an Agile development environment.

·Analytical skills – Ability to troubleshoot and logically assess problems and determine solutions

·Documentation skills – ability to represent ideas, requirements, and problems in clear and concise documents

·Cloud and any Virtualization technologies (desirably Oracle Cloud)

·Knowledge on Cloud Management tools like puppet, SRDF, DevOps, Nimbula and Docker.

·Oracle SuperCluster and Clusterware stack experience

·Infrastructure Support / Engineers / Administration

·Understanding of security-related issues

·Exposure to SAN and NAS (EMC and Netapp or similar storage technology)

·Strong knowledge of UNIX, Linux and Solaris and network attached storage (NFS/CIFS), clustering, kernel optimization, performance tuning and network tuning.

·Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)

·Knowledge of any Engineered Systems from Oracle (Exadata, Exalogic, ZDLRA, SuperCluster, ExaCM and Oracle Cloud Machine)

·Excellent knowledge of Unix LVM

-Excellent knowledge of Veritas Volume manager

·Excellent knowledge of Veritas Cluster

·Excellent knowledge of Storage Technologies such as EMC/Hitachi
