We are currently recruiting for a Data Protection Officer to work at our client based in London Ealing office. This job will require regular international travel to other offices. You will be responsible for creating and implementing policies and procedures, and also carrying out and data protection audits and investigations. The salary is £40,000k to £50,000k per annum depending on experience working 35 hours a week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

About The Role:

. To inform and advise the group of its obligation and to create and implement a strategy for compliance under the General Data Production Regulation and other EU and local data protection obligations
. Assist with the introduction of mechanisms required in order to facilitate cross border data transfers
. Implement and maintain a framework for managing data protection and privacy issues across the board to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
. Identify and address any shortcomings in relation to data protection processes, policies and procedures
. Deliver training and presentations to stakeholders
. Compile reports on findings and make recommendations
. Keep up to date with changes in data protection law and regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly
. Reporting to the Legal Manager - preparing and making presentations as required
. Prepare monthly management reports including all data protection matters with GDPR Compliance and other areas as designated
. To assist and advise on any other legal and ad hoc matters
. To attend meetings as and when required, this could be outside working hours and international travelling may be involved

Essential Skills & Experience

. Minimum of 5 years experience in Data Protection
. Management Experience is essential
. Excellent Attention to detail
. Excellent Communication skills
. Must have experience in carrying out audits
. Must have the ability to deal with complex reports
. Must be flexible
. Must be able to abide by and positively promote policies and procedures
. Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with company policy, data protection and privacy legislation
