Your responsibilities include the following:

·Work in an agile/scrum team to develop high quality software

·Development and execution of automated Unit Tests, following Test Driven Design principles

·Implement architectural principles and design patterns, supporting the Development Team Leader and Project Manager/ Product Owner to produce solution specifications when necessary

·Acting as a point of escalation for Project Manager/Product Owner

·Work collaboratively with Group partners, colleagues and teams

·Code Management using Visual Studio Team Services including Continuous Integration

·Release Management ensuring that all changes are released and documented as required

·Assisting the Development Team Leader in building and maintaining developer competency matrix

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

·Honours degree in Computer Science or equivalent (desirable)

·Experience developing full stack software; UI, business logic, and back-end in a scrum/XP agile environment

·Experience with test-driven development

·Ability to design, implement, and test software in an environment of rapidly evolving requirements

·Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently

·Effective communication skills with the ability to work well in a diverse team environment coaching less experienced team members as necessary

·Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, agile development, build processes, testing, and operations

This is .Net development team and therefore to apply you will need to have used some of the technologies listed below:

·Microsoft Azure (desirable), Microsoft .Net and .Net Core 1.0

Software Development, mentoring and coaching using;

·Visual Studio, IIS, Re-Sharper

·Version Control using GIT or SVN

·Knowledge and experience of.net Frameworks 3.5, 4.5 and .net core 1.0

·C#, ASP.net, MVC, Web API, Web Services (SOAP, Restful, JSON, XML)

·T-SQL & Microsoft SQL Server Databases, LINQ, Entity Framework

·JavaScript (Angular JS & Protractor, jQuery, Grunt / Gulp, NPM / Bower) HTML 5 & CSS, Bootstrap
