Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through online learning and practical experience.Duties and responsibilities As a Level 3 Software Developer Apprentice, you will be undertaking a recognised apprenticeship qualification, including Microsoft certifications, at the same time as working as part of the company’s software development team.The Company are a busy and successful organisation who are looking for an Apprentice to provide a wide range IT and software/media related support for many of our innovative installations.This will be a diverse job role in which will we will develop your skills from managing and reporting from databases through to involvement in user testing and developing our collaborative technologiesThe apprenticeship job role carries a degree of responsibility that overtime will increase as you develop.The company require someone who can demonstrate flexibility and an excellent attention to detail as it is critically important. Part of the role will be to support the team through a number of ways from developing skills in coding and programming (Flash, HTML, PHP, MySQL, and Visual basic) through to understanding how our interactive installations function.Your core duties will include but not limited to:
- Supporting the Head of Development in the production of bespoke interactive projects
- Researching and contributing to the use of collaborative technologies
- Inputting, organising and combining information using bespoke software
- Entering, editing and maintaining data records in a data management system
- Using website software tools to prepare content for websites

The Company are a busy and successful organisation who provide a wide range IT and software/media related support for many of their innovative installations.The Company have successfully delivered in excess of 150 bespoke interactive interpretive solutions for our clients, all of which were completed to the highest standard.Their clients include some of the largest museums and attractions in the UK such as The Great North Museum: Hancock, The Imperial War Museum and Chester Zoo.Qualifications & trainingThe company require a bright, enthusiastic and hard-working individual with a genuine desire to learn and to build a career within the IT industry. Have a friendly personality, able to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service. The company are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude from someone who isn’t afraid to ask questions.No experience required as full training will be provided. An interest and desire to learn software development is essential. Examples of self-initiated software projects is a big plus.To be considered for this role, you must have at least a C grade in both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least.

- An interest in IT is mandatory!
Training ProvidedYou will be enrolled onto the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. You will work towards gaining the MTA Software Development Fundamentals, MTA HTML5 Application Development Fundamentals and MTA Software Testing Fundamentals.This apprenticeship is delivered remotely via a live virtual classroom using the very latest Microsoft technologies. These qualifications are globally recognised industry certifications and form the significant building block of IT knowledge for anybody looking to start a career in IT. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Wage £131.25 Per Week (Apprentice wage) - £6,825 Per Annum
