Our Global Financial Services Client is currently seeking an experienced lead developer to support the business in their goal to achieve operational excellence through IM, automation and Integration. As part of your role you will support the company’s European development team and provide innovative ideas for managing information to the UK side of the organisation and assist the Head of IT set the strategy for the expansion of the UK team. This is a hugely exciting role with the scope to progress your career in a fast-paced growing organisation with offices across the UK, Europe and The US.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the European Development Team to implement business solutions into the UK.
  • Shape and drive the adoption of SharePoint in the UK to improve information management, content management, collaboration, publishing, social and mobility.
  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot UK site collections, project sites, lists, libraries, permission, navigation and web parts.
  • Migrate content from shared drives and non-SharePoint repositories to SharePoint.
  • Shape and drive the adoption of workflow tools to enable automation.
  • Configure case management software.
  • Provide support and guidance at IT project related workshops and technical support, input and guidance to new technology initiatives.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements, produce functional specifications and PoCs where required.
Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in developing web applications using C#, NET, HTML5, Java, JavaScript, CSS3, JQuery, XML and JSON.
  • Deep functional and technical understanding of SharePoint including forms.
  • Experience of 3rd party tools for workflow (e.g. Nintex, K2)
  • Experience with SSRS, SQL.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs.
  • A background in delivering solutions with a strong UI element.
  • Experience in working in cross discipline, Agile and distributed team structures to deliver solutions.
  • Ability to understand high-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate debate and drive decisions on appropriate solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project experience or heightened technical knowledge of Cloud applications and specifically of Cloud/O365 ready business applications.
  • Good awareness of Dev Ops – including Continuous Integration and Delivery using Agile Configuration Management, Environment Management, Release Management practices
  • Knowledge of Content Management concepts such as document and records management, content migration and collaboration.
  • Able to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritisation and a pragmatic approach
  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally to the wider business
  • Strong planning and organising skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.
