Systems Hotline Engineer
Our client is currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer, to join a large business in the Kettering area, on a permanent basis.
The organisation are leaders in Warehouse Management Solutions including, logistics, software and stock management. As a Technical Support Engineer, you support and manage the live issues and expectations from the customers on the 27/7 hotline.
Through support desk cover you will be diagnosing and resolving a variety of technical issues across multiple client systems, supporting & assisting the account management team and assisting in the delivery of upgrades & enhancements to clients. This also may include site visits when appropriate.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills:
Degree or equivalent in a computing subject and knowledge of Unix based operating systems.
Competent in Linux / Unix based operating systems at command line level.
Deep and broad understanding of information technology.
Candidates must have a full driving licence and should be available to work full time on a 7 week shift pattern basis including weekends and nights, to cover the Hotline 24/7 -365 days per year.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis so notice periods are fine.
