Adecco are currently recruiting for a Distribution Centre Controller to join our client based in Northampton. This is a permanent opportunity paying between £35,000 - £45,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be working within a friendly, successful company and will be available to commence employment ASAP.

We are looking for a strong character, who can use their own initiative and think on their feet. We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated individual with proven ability to work efficiently and on their own within a fast paced working environment. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

Role Requirements / Responsibilities:

*Lead within a rapidly expanding distribution center, ensure an effective control environment is operated within the distribution center and implement improvements
*Act as a business partner with distribution center Operations teams
*Strong controlling, inventory management and finance analysis skills required
*Ensure compliance with Accounting Policies, US GAAP & DoA and assist annual SOX Process
*Implement and monitor key controls to ensure accuracy of financial information reported including integrity of reconciliation between warehouse management & accounting software (SAP)
*Ensure effective operation of all financial processes:
Month end closing including Liaison with SSC and variance analysis
Post Close Process and Account Reconciliation.
*Support the cost accounting group in the:
Quarterly E&O analysis & roll forward + Annual FMV analysis
Month end analysis of variances
*Support the EANZ DC Controller and/or distribution center manager in
Implementation of business change projects and ensure control aspects fully considered and controls implemented.
Major cross function projects within the DC or the logistics group.
*Monitor cycle count process and ensure effective operation & investigation procedures operated
*Support Operations Finance team to assist in yearly budget & monthly forecast together with the operational, analyse variances v Actual, propose & implement corrective actions.
*Formulate & comment on monthly performance
*Lead in proper treatment of fixed assets, follow capex during their lifecycle and prepare new asset requests
*Control the relationship with internal & external auditors as required



The ideal candidate:

*Hold a degree within Business finance or equivalent
*Worked in a finance profession within an operations environment
*SAP knowledge
*Complete commitment to meet deadlines
*Good project management, organisational and analytical skillset
*Excellent communication skills
*Ability to function within a fast paced working environment
*Ability to handle confidential information suitably
*Excellent administration skills included Excel

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Occasional travel to other sites in the UK & Europe will be required for this role.
