We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Assistant Branch Merchandiser (or Assistant Branch Merchandiser) to join our Planning and Trading team.

The role of the Senior Assistant Branch Merchandiser is to deliver the Global Branch Merchandising Critical Path to maximise sales and profit and reduce terminal stocks. Analyse branch sales and stock using local knowledge to tailor stock packages to the specific needs of the location or market, bringing together the Retail and Merchandising teams to align on distribution strategies. Direct and participate in regular contact with stores & regional managers ensuring branch visits are undertaken on a regular basis and commercial actions are taken based upon this.

Branch Planning & Trading

Engage with Merchandising, Retail, Marketing, VM and Finance to deliver the seasonal trading strategy for each marketWork with the Junior Merchandiser and Retail team to create and sign off store grading plansProduce and analyse weekly store reports for category cover control, stock flow and dispatchSupport in opening new stores, closures and space changes, tailoring individual branch demographic requirements to build stock packages, reviewing trade post-opening to further potentialise salesWork with the distribution team to challenge allocation plans in order to deliver the best rangeAgree store visit schedule across the merchandising and retail teams and report back to the business any opportunities that can give commercial benefit or insight on performanceDrive an understanding of the stock management processes and support stores through regular communicationSuggest consolidation requirements to improve stock availability and drive sell throughLiaise with Regional and Country Managers to ensure a full understanding of the opportunities and restrictions by RegionUse all multi-channel opportunities to protect margin and reduce terminal stockOptimise and communicate the Trading calendar for promotional, local and Sale events across all Markets and ensure that stock plans are aligned to achieve planned salesIdentify any areas of poor commercial performance or opportunity and deliver actions for improvementManage Custom Store requirements to create suitable commercial stock packages tailored to individual stores needsManage Capacity documents to effectively manage and optimise stock levels in StoresRole Requirement

Essential is a proven track record in a Branch Merchandising or Distribution roleSomeone who thrives in a diverse, commercial and fast paced environment, with a flexible and adaptable approachA confident and effective communicator who is able to build strong working relationshipsExcellent analytical skills, with the ability to persuade and influence othersSelf-motivated and enthusiastic, you will be always willing to actively contribute ideas and suggestions to the team Highly effective in planning and organising own workload and can help manage the workload of others. Excellent systems skills, in particular Microsoft Excel are essential. Experience in managing others is not essential however would be beneficialOur benefits include:
