BTE Underwriting Assistant
Location- Bristol,
£15,850- £19,825 + benefits

We are currently recruiting for a BTE Underwriting Assistant for our Bristol base client. An entry-level and developmental role, the Underwriting Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, administrative support to senior colleagues and processing low level risks through the company's underwriting systems

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
* Responding promptly & efficiently to all customers using various communication methods/systems including answering technical queries.
* Assessment of declarations, policy/scheme setups and scheme reviews in line with stipulated procedures & authority limits
* Carry out all tasks in line with stipulated processes, procedures & authority limits.
* Work effectively with all stakeholders (including brokers, CMCs & solicitors) to ensure risks are processed without undue delay.
* Take responsibility for own learning needs & objectives. Work closely with colleagues to progress knowledge & skills base.
Career Progression
Through natural ongoing development and training interventions an Underwriting Assistant could next apply for an Underwriter role. Alternatively, the technical nature of the role lends itself to a change of direction; claims or sales disciplines.
Education and Experience
You will have a good level of education and 1 years insurance background. Experience of Legal Expenses Insurance would be an advantage.
